In the educational complex in Naxxar we are constructing a new football stadium. This stadium will be built to complement the existing sports facilities in the cluster of schools in Naxxar, mainly the Giovanni Curmi Higher Secondary School, the Maria Reġina College Middle School, and the Language Induction Hub which forms part of the same College.
The football stadium will be spread over 9,800 square meters and will include a pitch for 11-a-side games. There will also be a stand for spectators. The complex will also include several other facilities such as gymnasium, sanitary facilities, showers and changing rooms.
The football pitch will also be available for use by the local community after school hours.
Under the stadium there will be a car park for approximately 500 cars. FTS is also building an underground tunnel that will connect the car park with the entrance to the educational complex.
This football stadium and its facilities’ project is estimated to cost approximately €19 million. The underground car park and tunnel is estimated to cost approximately €8 million.
