A new complex at Santa Luċija Secondary School, which houses a new theatre and a multipurpose sports complex, opened its doors to students at the start of the new scholastic year in September 2023.
St. Thomas More College Santa Luċija Secondary School was built in the nineties. However, at the time the new school was left without a hall. As a result, the school was constrained to use other venues outside of the school whenever there was a need to use a hall.
Between 2020 and 2023, FTS built this new complex adjacent to the existing school which includes a theatre hall and a sports complex. The theatre hall has a seating capacity of approximately 450 people. The sports complex, which includes sanitary facilities, showers and changing rooms, and a clinic, are suitable for multiple sports disciplines.
On the roof of the new complex, we also developed a roof garden which increased the recreational outdoor space for students. The roof garden can be easily accessed from the main school playground.
All facilities have separate entrances from the school so that they may be used by the local community outside school hours.
The project was done with an investment of approximately €4,600,000.
