Refurbishment of the Old Primary School at Ħal Tarxien

The old Primary School at Ħal Tarxien was extensively refurbished and converted into a temporary school until works at Ħal Għaxaq Primary School are completed. This was done so as to enable the FTS to be able to carry out works at Ħal Għaxaq in a short time and to guarantee the health and safety of the pupils and all those who work in the school.

The extensive refurbishment project involved many works including, plastering, whitewashing, new sanitary facilities, strengthening of the existing foundations, opening of new classrooms, a new waterproofing system and new artificial turf in the playground. This project was carried out by the workers of the Ministry for Education under the supervision and management of the FTS.
